ABOUT

Tessatura is a production, recording, mixing, and mastering studio run by Digo and Jennica Best. Founded in 2018 in NYC, they made a name for themselves working with local bands in the Brooklyn indie scene, cultivating a real sense of community and contributing to the evolution of a new chapter in Brooklyn’s music scene. Now splitting time between Pittsburgh and New York, they work with artists on every continent, and throughout the US. Music they have produced has amassed over 4 million streams on Spotify, been featured on Spotify editorial playlists such as All New Rock, Modern Blues Rock, Undercurrents, Fresh Finds, IRL Angel, and Dreampop, and has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Vegan, Consequence, and many others. Jennica and Digo have their own production studio and mastering suite in Pittsburgh, as well as relationships with larger recording studios in both Brooklyn and Pittsburgh, in which they record. What defines Tessatura, however, isn’t simply a physical space or list of gear, but is instead an environment of real collaboration and a place where artists can feel safe to create. At their core, Digo and Jennica are two people who love music and who feel incredibly lucky that they get to spend their lives bringing music, whether that of others or their own, to life.
